Won't work. They'll just claim it was from all the cosmic rays at 30,000 feet.RX8er wrote:I just show them my CHL badge and they let me walk right on by.![]()
Kidding aside, I unfortunately have to fly for work. I figure if I get any type of cancer, I will call my lawyer and we sill start suing. I have the airline miles to prove it!

I had to go through one at San Antonio this week.C-dub wrote:This thread looked about as good as any other. There are several related threads on this issue.
I saw this today. Looks like the TSA has removed all full body scanners from our airports.

I travel with an oxygen concentrator, FAA approved, doctor ordered etc. The TSA always reacts like monkeys finding a saxophone when I plop that thing on the inspection rack. Supervisors, head scratching, mutual contradictory conclusions, whoever shouted most authoritatively seems to control the situation. "Call so-and-so!" "He just went on break!" "Run it through x-ray again!" "I already did. Why not swab it?" "Sir do you need to be wearing this?" etc.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Hey guys, I haven't flown in years, before they got those scanners and then it was only because I couldn't drive to Rome. I just wanted to point out that I saw where they were removing all the scanners.

I fly at least twice a month and these last few flights made me uneasy...
They pat me down after one of these full body scanners which is nothing new to me cause of my style of dress.
(as a youngster and a electronic music DJ, I admit my baggy pants and piercings are way out of the ordinary but no need to stereotype me)
I took notice that they always swabbed my hands but never anyone else and I started seeking for this answer while I waited for the machine to come back clean.
I asked and the TSA agent replyed, "it's to check for explos..."
"I know what its for but why?"
"Oh, its because we patted you down"
"..."
Call me crazy but I fail to see how that is a legitimate reason or PC for that action AFTER I was just scanned/pat from head to toe without the compensation of dinner and a movie.
Releases so much stress from me when I fly out to play these shows along with many others that have job that rely on traveling.

With all this "gun control" talk,
I haven't heard one politician say how they plan to take gun from criminals,
just law abiding citizens.

We're all stereotyped.
I'm old enough to be considered elderly, bald, gray of beard, wear conservative clothing, neat and clean in appearance.
No one pays the slightest attention to me.
So, you see, I too am stereotyped...

If you were stooped, using a cane, walker or wheelchair TSA would by default have to pat you down and swab ever inch of your metal appliance. And don't get me started on prosthetics.
