Interview with ABC

#1

Post by Dreamer42 »

While at the Houston NRA Convention I was about to walk into the Convention Center, but I paused to get a picture of all 12 demonstrators across the street. While waiting to get a good view, the ABC reporter and cameraman approached me and asked if they could ask me some questions. It aired Saturday night on ABC Nightline " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The two folks I spoke with were a daughter whose mom was principal at Newtown and a dad who lost a child at Newtown. It was interesting because every time they used some bit of statistic I would counter them with facts, such as existing laws; what the law has been since the 1968 GCA concerning convicted felons, etc. The dad even admitted that A. Lanza stole the guns he used, underscoring the point I made, and ABC chose to air, that criminals will find a way to get guns. The spin that was put on the overall news report is typical, but very interesting considering that if you were a witness, as I was, how they totally distort what is said and what the NRA's motivation is. Funny. The host says "...Keeping law makers from doing anything about guns." As if the NRA is the ONLY movement, or has such total control over Congress that everything is done at their bidding. I always thought the Left was on board with reducing crime, not guns. Hmmm. :headscratch

Sounds like hate mongering at it's finest. To me the way the news media is going after the NRA is a hate crime.

As i was going in, NBC stopped the couple in front of us and asked them for an interview. The man aske the reporter, "why, you will just turn what I say around to meet your leftist needs" and he walked off.

Glad I didn't have a drink as I would have spewed it everywhere.

Here's the thing: the left WANTS criminals to get guns and to use them. Criminals with guns justify well armed authorities; and criminals with guns and citizens without create dependence on government. The left definitely DOES NOT want to reduce crime: crime, especially with an unarmed populace, is a tool the collectivists use to advance their agenda.

:iagree:

Bad guys with guns is okay, as long as the general populace is disarmed. That way, instead of taking care of themselves, the citizenry is forced to turn to the state for help.

I too was at the NRA 2013 convention in Houston. My wife and a friend were resting/relaxing on one of the
outdoor patios on the 2nd floor of the G. Brown Convention Center. When I joined them (my wife & friend), I noticed the
anti-gun protestors across the street. I was amazed at their sheer strength in numbers, and their signs were
very, very scary. :biggrinjester: I snapped the attached picture: (please keep in mind that MOST of the 12 to 15 people in this
picture are news media covering the protestors).

I wonder how much the professionally made banner depicting a check with blood-stained hands cost Soros?

I wonder how much they are paid -- looks like an easy job!
