Morning Joe flip-floppin hypocrite

#1

Post by A-R »

Joe Scarborough, former Republican congressman from Florida (who came to power in Gingrich-led Republican revolution in early 90s) has been ranting and raving for months for gun control on his MSNBC "Morning Joe" show. He's made a point of calling Wayne Lapierre a hypocrite on background checks, and has all but called the NRA baby killers.

Well, seems ol Joe is a flip-floppin' hypocrite himself.

I would not really call him a flip-flopper, just a convert. A lot of things can happen over a 10-20 year political career that will warp their mind. His left leg must be shorter than his right and in the past 10 years he has probably veered off that direciton in his walk. :totap:

There is a category of republican who thinks the party must emulate the democrat party in order to get republicans elected. Scarborough is one of them. He is not concerned about principle, he is concerned about party power. And THIS, by the way, is what changed the democrat party from a "left of center" party into a "give everybody everything free" party. Democrats have been willing to crap on the Constitution for years if it meant getting elected. Now republicans are willing to crap on the Constitution to get elected. Scarborough is merely pointing out that he is a politician at heart, not a principled believer in a set of standards.
