Kerry: foreign students scared of US guns

#1

Post by A-R »

Is this meant to be a serious argument AGAINST guns? If foreign students are too stupid to understand the root causes of violence, why would we admit them into our universities in the first place? But maybe I'm jumping to conclusions - did anyone bother to ask these students whether they're scared of guns or of violence? Or did Kerry - in typical libtard fashion - simplistically assume a synonymous link between the two?

(CNN) – Students in other countries assessing where to study abroad are increasingly scared of coming to the United States because of gun violence, the nation’s top diplomat said Monday.

I call bull. I'm willing to bet that a lot of foreign students come from places with some real gun/violence issues.

It's not just the gun problem, even according to the article:
Figures have shown international study is down markedly among Japanese students to all destinations, including the United States. Experts have attributed the decline to Japan's low birthrate, the expense of foreign study in a poor economy, and a desire among Japanese young people to remain at home rather than venture to other countries.
I'm sure that the drop off in Japanese students quoted in the article will be easily filled by other foreign students.

Why should I care what someone in another country, especially students, think of the US?

the dems are really pushing for the "American Spring" .... kind of like a rebirth of the 60's in a more modern way. Don't y'all understand that the 17-25 year age group is where the real leadership is. They should rule the world.

It wouldn't be the first time armed American citizens made the japanese scared of coming here.

Maybe they are fearful because we have guns to defend against the ones they bring into the country. Other countries offer open season. :biggrinjester:

With all the idiotic pronouncements that we've heard from John Kerry, who served in Viet Nam, over the years, why put credence in anything he says now?

The only reason he is Secretary of State is that is the job in government reserved for pompous windbags; it's his turn!
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
