No new legislation would be far better than any compromise proposed by those who wish to appease the anti-gunners. Appeasement never works, by the way. Ask Europe circa 1936.
Agree this should have been stopped before it got started. Had 9 of the 16 voted to uphold the filibuster it would have died. And I see no 'compromise' anywhere in here. What does the 2A community get out of this other than one step closer to registration? This 'compromise' is akin to someone saying "I want to kill you", but you settle for letting them chain saw your legs off instead. In the end it gets to the same place.

IANAL, but I see nothing in here to prohibit a registry. Besides, the registration can be slipped into one line of some unrelated bill. Just like the Dems say that ObamaCare didn't create the 'death panels'. Technically, they're correct. The 'death panels' were created in the Stimulus bill, ObamaCare just made them permanent.

Good to know; our God-given, Constitutionally protected Second Amendment rights are worth a free boat ride and some free booze.

Wonder what the First Amendment is worth? Fourth? Fifth? :mad5

Bill needs language that prohibits federal agencies from expanding by regulation. Otherwise, we end up with another Obamacare on our 2nd Amendment rights.

He must be lying because everyone knows the Democrats are the party of the poor, of workers, and the disenfranchised, and the Republicans are the party of the rich and powerful. So how could a democrat possibility own a yacht? Why, a guy with a yacht could never understand the problems of the poor or the working class. Must have been a republican owned yacht.

Ok, I am now disappointed, baffled, perplexed, bewildered, confused, disconcerted, embarrassed, and frustrated by a government that seems unwilling to listen to ALL of its people!!!! They are supposed to work FOR the PEOPLE, because they are PAID BY the PEOPLE!! I am sick and tired of a government who thinks that they know better than me of how to protect, raise and support my family!! I am supposed to pay taxes to support the military, social security, Medicare, Medicaid, schools, roads and a decent deserving government! My tax dollars should NOT be spent for government leaders to take vacations during a "Critical" or "Crucial" time, when that time could be spent trying to come up with a SMART and BALANCED budget!! I am sick and tired of supporting people who don't want to work for a living or provide for their families, but who are willing to sit on their butt and let me support them!! But, what can you do? This government is going to do exactly what they want, when they want. :patriot:

There are no democrats or republicans. There are only political elites and we commoners.

I was, of course, being sarcastic. You express it more politely than I would.....it's becoming something more like "they" are the consumers and we're their consumables.
