I have a news flash for those morons; Anxiety does not equal dangerous! Anxiety is not mental illness in the sense that a person may commit some unexpected act of violence on others. It is a stress-related adrenalin response that becomes chronic or episodic and a majority of people will experience at least one panic attack in their lives. The medications for it are for the purpose of diminishing the body's excessive response. Its as common as grass. If the release of mental health records are going to mean everyone who takes tranquilizers now and then loses their gun rights, then there will be untold numbers of people on that list. The medications and mental illness that should be of concern are those that are associated with violent psychosis not something like simple anxiety. Going this route, people with attention deficit disorder medications will be on the list. Many of those meds have the side effect of anxiety and an anti-anxiety is prescribed with them. Heck the pharmaceutical industry has been spending a bazillion dollars to get doctors and citizens to seek nirvana in a pill for decades now. I have seen thousands of people's medical histories. MOST people are taking at least one medication that could be used to take away gun rights if they are going to get this strict on it. The whole thing is becoming a witch hunt.

Well that's better for my blood pressure. But we know this IS coming once the anti's put medical records into the system. Because given the numbers of people on some kind of pill for something, they can always make a case that some guy was dangerous because he had a prescription for one thing or another. There certainly are medications that given to the wrong people may cause psychosis. Count on the anti's to use that to the max.

I wonder how man LEO's are on meds for anxiety or depression. :headscratch
Guns are like parachutes, if your ever in a situation that you need one and you dont have one, you'll probably never need one again.

Could this also be part of their plan to make Obamacare financially sound? Drive everyone away from going to the doctor for fear of getting guns taken away, driving down health care costs? That's one way to bring down health care demand :biggrinjester:
