http://revealingpolitics.com/blog/video ... l-mag-ban/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Colorado’s now nationally famous “high capacity” magazine ban could end up being much more widespread than anticipated according to lawmakers. During a late night debate in the Colorado Senate on Friday, Senator Kevin Lundberg (D-Berthoud) put forth the thesis that because the proposed ban includes magazines with more than 15 rounds, AND those which are “readily convertible” even those manufactured for smaller numbers are most likely to fall under the ban. Most magazines are designed to be pulled apart and cleaned and are therefore readily converted to a capacity above the proposed law.

Re: “HIGH CAPACITY” MAG BAN COULD BE AN ALMOST TOTAL MAG BAN
That would be the ant's new trick for 2013. During the previous dark era, they realized that magazines don't take much of a beating & they're usually pretty well made. So the rate at which they would have to be replaced due to wear & tear was grossly underestimated. So now they're including the conversion provision to get the standard capacity mags out of circulation sooner.

Possession of box containing cartridges is not unlawful. Big or small. Where is the crime committed if without the complementary firearm, said box is just a storage box? Confused, asked the gun expert Dianne Fienstien for a clarification.

So let us say, they banned the transfer of the standard capacity 30rd mags. How do they enforce the ban? Do they have to register all billions of said banned magazines? I can't see a SN on any that I ever touched. Or, do they expect us to surrender our property for destruction?
Come take it!

I have no gun magazines, I read about them online and didn't renew subscriptions.
My niece is in charge of clips, and bobby pins.
I too have storage boxes containing cartridges.

I wonder if that is the way some smart manufacturer could get around a law. "These are ammunition storage boxes which hold 30 rounds. They just happen to have an open end and fit the receiver of an AR-15." It would probably fool Joe Biden!RPB wrote:I have no gun magazines, I read about them online and didn't renew subscriptions.

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

Gun Magazines are protected under the First Amendment. Take that Dianne Fienstien.
Clips are also protected by our nice hair dresser's first natural law. It is so exciting that wherever you go, there is a "Great Clips" place for your looks.
