Anyone else have any acquaintances from the "mainstream" left praising Chavez's legacy?

The guy amassed a $2 billion personal fortune while in office, was a strident anti-Semite, stole countless small businesses, farms, plants from his enemies and turned them over to allies, shut down countless media, imprisoned and tortured opponents, and window-dressed his assistance to Venezuela's poor. It is frightening to know that there are so many U.S. citizens who are completely on board with his style of dictatorship, and wish Obama and his regime would more closely mirror Chavez's.

About the only difference I see is that Chavez's supporters didn't spend his first term arguing that he was not, in fact, a socialist like BHO's did. Now that his second term has begun, all his loyalists are admitting he is.

Both amassed obscene amounts of wealth while preaching care for the "common good" and "spreading the wealth" sickening.
