You go, Greg Abbott

Post by Beiruty »

MESQUITE – Attorney General Greg Abbott told gun-rights advocates on Saturday in Mesquite that the best way to stop gun violence is with more guns. ”More guns equals less crime,” Abbott told the Texas State Rifle Association, which is holding its annual convention and gun show in Mesquite. Abbott is considered a potential candidate for governor next year, and spent Saturday cultivating gun-rights advocates as part of his conservative political base

I am VERY leery of any sort of Constitutional convention. There is FAR too much liberal-progressive and/or outright left-wing chicanery that could take place. They might "tinker" with the 2A and make it effectually useless, by adding an amendment, or rewording it. They might also add things like "finding" a "right" to single-payer (government) healthcare (going far beyond the Obamacare fiasco) or some other such nonsense. I don't trust anyone on the political left any further than I can pick them up and throw them...and that is still pushing it.
