riiiiiight......

the man is decimating our military so he's going to force our children to work for him....oh, and btw, he can't afford to pay them :banghead: there is a reason my son isn't going into the military, and it's only got a little bit to do with not really having the right personality.

Never have understood how mandatory national service differs from indentured servitude. In times of war, it may be needed. Otherwise, it is just an attempt at indoctrination.

The overall "persona" of the current US military is somewhere between conservative and libertarian in nature. There are liberals and plenty of people who just don't care about politics in the military service, but they don't set the tone. Bills like this HR748 want to set up some parallel service whose persona the liberal-progressives could control. That way BHO might finally get some crew of Mao-style head-kickers (Cultural Revolution reference)...because the military we have right now, ain't going to do that stuff for him.

Just because someone is contributing to what the government defines as national service does not mean that they are a contributing citizen to this country.

Government definition.

Government program.

The party in power determines everything.

If the national service persons are barry's brown shirts (barry's bovine soil© anygunanywhere 2013) then you can bet yer bottom dollar they are not doing anything to contributer to this country.

Finally, seeing as how scumball rangel is thte author, I'll bet a paycheck I am correct in my analysis.

Asking and mandating through federal law are two completely different things.

Where I now work they have some totally worthless flesh bags, I couldn't imagine these people serving anything beyond their own selfish desires. I would not wish them on civilian service, much less the military.

Rangle has been pushing this idiocy since I was in college, I had to write a response to his proposal for an English Proficiency Exam required to graduate. I was against it then and I'm against it now.

Not saying I agree with the specific verbiage of the bill as proposed.. I DISAGREE with the sentiment I read here in response to the bill.

If I somehow miss understood what others wrote above in response to this bill, then fine.. But from this side of the screen..
Discouraging at best, disappointing for sure..
