PBS Special on Adam Lanza & His Mother

#1

Post by TexasGal »

Tonight at 9pm on DFW channel 13 a Frontline special will air concerning new details on Adam Lanza and his mother. It is supposed to explore more of his utter immersion in violent video games and details of the relationship with guns his mother had.
Just prior to that at 8pm another program will air called "After Newtown, An Evolution of Guns in America". I am interested in seeing how far left these two programs aired on our tax supported public broadcasting station will go. They are also aired in the prime hours for maximum viewing by families.

Just more of the media running propaganda for BHO and the Democrat Party.

It was slick the way they used careful psychology to lead the viewer to "think" they were reaching logical conclusions when all the elements to reach those conclusions were orchestrated by the program. There was one comment by the journalists that caught my ear. They noted with the two sides are so far apart on gun laws, the only way it could be resolved was by one side or the other becoming politically powerful enough to force it's will upon the other. Another thing I noticed was they totally left out even one single word on school security. It was indeed just more of the left's spin on things, though the PBS program did it in a more devious way than most. A google of the name of the program reveals it was heavily promoted to attract as many viewers as possible. I hope none of us are getting tired of the endless emails we are writing our elected officials or taking every opportunity to calmly discuss the true facts of gun control with people. I doubt the push to limit our gun rights will let up any time soon so we must stay in the fight.

Yes, people do........even members of this board.......

I don't. I stopped watching PBS and listening to NPR when the constant onslaught of sneaky attacks against everything I hold dear did nothing but drive my blood pressure up. I have never once, not ONCE ever heard or seen a truly balanced presentation on PBS/NPR. I'm not asking for or expecting them to be conservative only. I recognize that, as partially taxpayer funded institutions, all viewpoints must be represented. I just want balance.

But we'll never get it, because major contributors to PBS/NPR/CPB are organizations which are dedicated to the eradication of the 2nd Amendment....
The Joyce Foundation: http://www.joycefdn.org/courts-uphold-c ... -gun-laws/
The Ahmanson Foundation: http://www.kcet.org/about/pressroom/pre ... -cali.html (KCET is the local Los Angeles PBS affiliate)

http://www.pbs.org/foundation/donor-recognition/: Google any of the names on this list followed by "gun control," for instance "Ford Foundation Gun Control" and you'll find that overwhelmingly, all of these major donors give to anti-gun advocacy.

It doesn't take much Google-Fu to make the case that the nation's public broadcasting propaganda network is funded by a blend of taxpayers who don't even realize they're supporting it, large private entirely leftist foundations, and subscriber donations from people who are mostly leftist themselves which is why they watch it.

I don't even particularly care if they are all communists, as long as I am not compelled to support them with my taxes. The fact is, they don't need my taxes to stay on the air; but it is politically important to them that government maintains a stake in it because the government connection lends an aura of legitimacy to their propaganda. Without that connection, they are just another MSNBC.

MSNBC - left-wing propaganda
PBS - more sophisticated left-wing propaganda

Both programs were on last night in Houston. (I can't stand evening programing, so I channel surf) The first program "After Newtown" was very liberal and had many college professors giving their opinion. It was better than Piers Morgan, but not much. I only yelled at the screen three or four times. The second show about Adam Lanza was very informative but still slanted. (why did his Mom teach him to shoot, etc.) It portrays the Mom as being a good person who did all she could for a troubled child. No one really saw this horrible event coming. Her major fault was not keeping the guns secure.

False consensus. A propaganda technique intended to make the uniformed believe that all the "experts" are in agreement.

These shows only further glorify the ^%#^%&$^%$*&^% that perpetrate these acts. Once they scrape the gray matter from these low life's blowing their brains out off the walls and ceilings and bury them then all glorification needs to stop. The celebritization of these low lifes never ceases to amaze me. It is like a perpetual candlelit memorial to these scum.

I agree. Obama and the Left is seeking to keep the raw emotions of Sandy Hook inflamed so they can benefit politically. But it is a double edged sword because it also keeps the holy grail of committing something worse on the minds of the sick, deranged, and disaffected in our society. School security must be made far more effective right now. Instead, they are so blinded by their own arrogance, they continue to leave our children helpless while they intently watch for the next 5 year old to make a pretend gun out of his finger. :mad5

How many of these idiots were on the latest "wonder drug" issued by doctors/pharma shills?

Did they have ADD?

We had just as many guns back when I was a teen, and just as many violent books/games/shows/films, but I don't recall kids going ballistic until they started putting them all on "good" drugs.

IMO, there needs to be another HARD look at all the crap being distributed to people for the same supposed "woes" all us older folks experienced and handled WITHOUT needing some doctor to fill a prescription.

The medication history seems to be something the media wants to ignore. I imagine the long arm and deep pockets of the pharmaceutical industry has something to do with that.

Not to mention it takes the focus off of their real target/agenda.
