Don't even consider bringing a gun into the district. http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/gun ... deception/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Emily Miller has written a great bunch of articles on her blog "Emily Get's Her Gun" fascinating reading.

Anygunanywhere,

I will try to go. I could rent a car. I wold defiently drive directly up and back. I live in Sugarland. Care to put togther a carpool? I know a few other forum memebers that might go.

I have a suburban that needs some work but will be ready for the trip. I am going to make hotel reservations asap as clost to DC as I can. Carpooling will be the goal. The suburban can travel 7 if you like each other and are OK with your friend's gun in your ribs.

The linked web page has a gmail address and the page counter shows 15,000 views. Seriously? This could be some pimply-faced 17 year-old posting from his mom's basement.

Now, if the NRA announces a March on Washington, I am arranging my vacation time and going.
:iagree:

And I'd bring the entire family if the date was about 2 weeks later..

If this thing develops I will be going.

First thing the organizers need to do is change the name. There will not be 10 million people there, and the first thing the media will do is point out the we feel short of our goal.

That is what happens when a 17 year-old is organizing an event.

I have no problem going to DC, but we need some sanity here. I went to a March for life this weekend we had somewhere north of 500,000. It was packed, jam packed. This is all we could muster in the country for the 40th anniversary of Roe V Wade, it was an event that everyone knew about a year in advance. It has been held every year for the past 40. I am not trying to start an abortion debate....far from it....just trying to say we need to consider logistics. If we are going to march on Washington, this has to be organized to a T. We need permits, we need police prescence, we need funding. A better time to do it would be two weeks later (and not on the memorial day holiday week). If we are not organized it will fail to the delight of the MSM and the democrats in congress.
