Texas' 4 Major Cities' Mayors Support AWB
I am so proud of the public support of our Second Amendment rights by both Governor Perry and Greg Abbott, but the mayors of Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, and Austin are all publicly supporting Obama's agenda. We need these people voted out.

Of course they do. Your average Joe, does not live in the City. They get tired of the crappy schools and having to worry about vunables breaking into their homes and cars. They move out of the city limits, leaving behind the libs and vunables to feast off of the tax dollars generated by the businesses. Generalizing, but fairly accurate.

Well, I tracked the author of that little story back...a former Lt. who served with the 101st...I guess we might have found at least one officer who would have fired on his fellow citizens if ordered to...and if you don't believe me, look him up and see what kind of stuff he says on his Twitter feed.

I recently moved from Houston to the country for exactly this type of stance from the local elected officials. Very happy to be around like minded people now!
Not so sure Houston can be turned around unfortunately.

So, so true. Populations within incorporated city limits according to the 2010 census:punkndisorderly wrote:Of course they do. Your average Joe, does not live in the City. Houston, 2.1 million
San Antonio, 1.33 million
Dallas, 1.2 million
Austin, .79 million
total, 6.42 million
Texas, 25 million
And I would bet that of the folks within those city limits, not much more than 52% support the policies of those mayors. While in the Metro suburbs and rural areas folks have already voted on those policies with their feet. I believe Gov. Perry enjoys the support of far and away the vast majority of Texans.

Andrew, your point is correct in that none of those cities have 100% support for the Progressives governing them, but I suspect in my gut, that the 52% figure is pretty low. I'd be surprised if they didn't hold something close to a 60/40 edge. As PND points out, there's been a flight out of the cities to the suburbs. That's where the majority of our shooters, hunters and fishermen live. They have the money to get a lease, maybe a lake or hunting place or a boat. They're probably 60+/40- for the "right".Andrew wrote:So, so true. Populations within incorporated city limits according to the 2010 census:punkndisorderly wrote:Of course they do. The issue that we are facing here in Texas is that with un-restrained illegal immigration and the "government" seeking a "pathway to citizenship" for the lawbreakers already here, the right leaning or flat out right wing voter is going to get overwhelmed and we'll be looking at NY style laws rammed down our throats by the "government" and found "legal" by THEIR courts. Make no mistake, the next 10-15 years are going to be rough for the GOP in Texas and will show that the high-water mark for Second Amendment freedoms in Texas came in 2012.

I agree. North Ellis Co is as close to Dallas or FW as I am willing to live. About the only thing that will get me to drive north of I-20 is a gun show.punkndisorderly wrote:Of course they do. It is a term Michael Berry uses. CONGRESSWOMAN!!! Sheila Jackson Lee refers to her constituents as the "vulnerables", but mispronounces the word as "vunnables".surprise_i'm_armed wrote:I'm not probably not the only reader wondering....what are VUNABLES?

It describes the self-entitled, welfare dependent, lazy, low-information population. Some think of it as a racist term when, in reality, it's a word used to describe lifestyles and not race. He is referring to people who are living off me and you. You know, "Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what the country can do for you."
Here is an audio description: " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Here are some headlines from his blog posts that refer to "vunnables":
Teen Punches Homeless Man on Red Line While Friends Videotape the Attack:
When "Vunnables" Attack (WARNING, Bad Language)
Flashmob In Maryland...Just More Vunnables
Violent Vunnables. "A man accused of stealing a cellphone from a teen at a bus stop was found thanks in part to his President Barack Obama T-shirt," reports the Corpus Christi (Texas) Caller-Times."
