A friend of mine shared this one with me this morning:
From ABC 20/20 Myths, Lies, and Downright Stupidity with John Stossel, Myth #10 Gun Control Reduces Crime
"Could not document a single gun regulation that reduced violent crime." Not a single one. It's not like gun control doesn't ALWAYS work. It's that gun control NEVER works."

There was also a great article in the WSJ this week showcasing the "fail" of Washington DC's gun control "efforts" and the effect on crime. Very good.
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... (Jefferson quoting Beccaria)
... tyrants accomplish their purposes ...by disarming the people, and making it an offense to keep arms. - Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, 1840

If you're referring to the former D.C. prosecutor's op-ed piece on how he watched crime get dramatically WORSE after implementing gun control, and how they spent all their time jacking up otherwise law-abiding citizens, I agree - that was a very strong piece.TLE2 wrote:There was also a great article in the WSJ this week showcasing the "fail" of Washington DC's gun control "efforts" and the effect on crime. I'll quit carrying a gun when they make murder and armed robbery illegal

Hey, come on, stop it. Giving facts and reasoning to a liberal is like me trying to teach my dog algebra. You only get a puzzled look.
If the 2nd admendment only applies to muskets and muzzle-loaders, then the 1st admentment must apply only to the spoken or printed word. Printing must be done on hand presses, news stories must be written in longhand, no keyboards or electric processes may be used.
