He sounds like his mind is made up.

Awesome. I wonder how many are willing to make the sacrifice. At one time I thought I couldn't because I have young children who need their father. Now I know that I must because I am their father. I will not always be around to fight for them. One day they will have to fight for themselves. It is my job to ensure that they and their children have the same tools available to protect themselves and their family that I now have at my disposal. I will make whatever sacrifice is necessary to ensure that is the case.

Re: "...we will go no further and will die to prove it"
Great article. However, I have an issue with this statement
The Bill of Rights is IMHO NOT a bill from the government to the people, which implies that they are rights given by the government to the people. I contend that, for example, the 2nd Amendment does NOT gives us the RKBA. The RKBA is an inalienable right endowed to us by our creator. The second Amendment, as well as the rest of the Bill of Rights, is a restriction on the government on infringement on those rights. We should stop saying the the 2nd gives us a right, but we should be saying that the 2nd prevents the government from infringing of that right.I believe that the Bill of Rights were that, a bill from the government to the people of certain rights, not privileges, not exceptions, not waivers, hard and fast rights, inalienable to us all on birth in the United States of America.
2nd Amendment. America's Original Homeland Security.

My son (bar mitzvah'd almost a year ago) and I were having this discussion the other day. He understands (amazingly enough for his age) and agrees. He even said that he would fight beside me if it ever came to that. Made me so proud.jmra wrote:Awesome. I wonder how many are willing to make the sacrifice. I do indeed. I've even got the movie "Defiance". Awesome flick, btw. I highly recommend it.AndyC wrote:I imagine you have copies of "Uprising" and "Defiance"?
If not, definitely put them on your list :)
