Congrats! I'm sure you probably know this but just to clarify for others (if I'm recalling this correctly):

NRA Membership dues do not go to support NRA-ILA.

So if you want to help out with the NRA-ILA that Charles mentioned in the OP, you need to donate directly to them, not just the NRA (either with money contributions or memberships).

Good point Nova.

I contributed to the NRA-ILA specifically, yesterday.

NRA-ILA and The 100 Club. These are the two organizations that receive contributions from me every year, regardless.

But this year, NRA-ILA is getting more from me than it did even in 2008.

I'll have to wait about a week until my wife gets paid.

But I will definitely contribute.

Given what's at stake, I have donated more than I ever have this election season, some of that to the NRA ILA. But, is it just me or does it seem my donation just paid for postage to send me more requests for donations? It's pretty discouraging to see all of these letters in my mailbox, sometimes multiple requests per week, especially given the fact they have my email address.

I just wonder if there's a better strategy and if the money could be better spent in some other manner. Yard signs, bumper stickers, radio ads, etc. Am I the one that questions their methods?

Here's hoping to a huge upset on Nov 6th... :woohoo

You can turn all that mail/email off to save them money. Yard signs, etc in Texas would be of limited usefulness, at least for the big race.

A couple days ago, I filled out a form with a bunch of stickers and guns I can win and sent them 150 bucks. I also checked the don't send me a gift box. Obama is going to make major anti gun moves if given 4 more years. He didn't even try to hide it in the debate this week. He came right out and said he was going to try and resurrect the "assault weapons" ban..

I don't have the info from it as I never win anyway. Was that the NRA-ILA or just the NRA. I am already an endowment member. I know it was not asking for me to join the NRA.

Just donated again to NRA-ILA. Hopefully they still need the money to get us into the home stretch.
