I would love for an anti-gun person to bring up hollow points and LASERs. So you want a bullet to travel through a bad guy and hit someone innocent? So you want an innocent person to be shot because as a bad guy is rushing the victim, he/she doesn't have time to line up the sights?

I just did a search on the Brady Campaign's website, looking for Mitt Romney. They say absolutely nothing about RINO Romney. HMMMM?

Here are my thoughts on this (I'm bored at work):

• When asked if he carries a concealed weapon while he campaigns, Perry refused to answer outright. Instead, he thought it was a joking matter, replying, “That’s why it’s called concealed.” I don't think this one even needs to be refuted.
• His belief that it’s commendable, and seemingly necessary, for Americans to carry guns with hollow point bullets and laser sights in the course of routine activities, such as jogging. “Texans, on the other hand, elect folks like me. I guess the Brady Campaign would rather that we carry guns without the benefit of better aiming devices and bullets that are much safer due to lack of penetration. In fact, since they seem to jump all over so called "cop killer" guns/bullets/etc you would think they would want to require all citizens to use hollow points since they are stopped by body armor much more effectively than FMJ.
• His support for the carrying of loaded guns in secondary schools, all the way down to the kindergarten level, as well as on college campuses by people with CHLs.
• His belief that Congress lacks the constitutional authority to enact gun laws, a view that would invalidate the Brady Law, which has been successful in denying gun purchases nearly 2 million times to dangerous felons, fugitives, mentally ill, and domestic violence abusers through the Brady background check system. I wonder what the Brady Campaign thinks about Obama's ATF forcing dealers to violate that law so that known criminals can purchase firearms?
• His support for the carrying of loaded guns in cars without a license. According to a Dallas police officer, the new law has “destroyed the concealed gun law. We’re letting drug dealers with Glocks under the seat go and say have a nice day.” Remember, when it comes to firearms, there's no such thing as innocent until proven guilty. Obviously anyone who owns a gun that isn't locked up in a safe 100% of the time is likely a drug dealer or criminal in the eyes of the Brady Campaign and their adherents.
• His opposition to even modest measures to help law enforcement crack down gun on smuggling from the U.S. to Mexico. He derided the new Obama Administration gun reporting rules designed to crack down on illegal gun trafficking as “misguided” and “constitutionally questionable.”All I have to say is:

OK, that is laughable a FUD (Fear Uncertainty Doubt) campaign! In several places they even contradict themselves!

The article states their purpose is to "fight to prevent gun violence" when it is really to "prevent gun ownership".

I say if they are old enough to enlist during recess, they should be allowed to carry even if they are still in Kindergarten

What does the Brady Campaign have to say about the candidate from Mass?

Apparently, not a thing: http://www.bradycampaign.org/search/?q=mitt+romney

That search returns 0 results on their website. Since they tend not to report on the positive (from their viewpoint) and hyperventilate about the negative (again, from their viewpoint), that is sort of telling. Apparently, Romney doesn't have a recored in favor of the RKBA. If he did, he'd show up on that search.

Thanks for looking at his record and standing with Brady bunch. My gut feeling was he was at best a lukewarm ditto head on gun rights. I would have trouble voting for someone from Mass unless there was no other hope of throwing Osama out.

I hesitate to watch the news or read the paper. It just gets worse. I am sincerely concerned for the world we are going to leave for my children and especially my grandchildren.
