How is it that they can truly believe that this will help keep knives out of the hands of criminals?

Are politicians really this stupid?

If you want a quality knife that will hold up to use as a tool, for whatever purpose, you buy a well-made knife. If you want a sharp piece of metal to threaten or injure someone with, just about any piece of steel can be turned into something of that nature with a grinder...how in the heck do they propose to regulate that? Something is seriously wrong with these people, I mean that sincerely.

I suppose the same way they regulate common sense. They have done a superb job in doing that as not only do criminals lack it but so do the politicians and many of the voters.

What a shame. Patriots in Mass. once rebelled against British rule and law. Now, the whole state seems to be trying to become more and more like Britain. By the way, no society that disarms honest people can be called "civilized". Societies that disarm their honest citizens will be ruled by their thugs, criminals, and gansters in every way but in name. That is the very antithesis of civilization.

They will make all the following objects illegal in turn as they each get used to either attack or defend someone:
  • Guns ✔
  • Knives ✔
  • Baseball Bats
  • 2x4s
  • Firewood
  • Barrel Staves
  • Shoes (thrown)
  • Shoes (in the hand)
  • Ruth Buzzi's Purse
  • Wet Noodles
  • Harsh Words
  • Mad Dogging
  • Wearing Red Sox Fan Apparel
That state is a write off.

I see two possibilities.

1. Yes, they are that stupid.

2. They're not stupid. They know the laws will only disarm good guys. The criminals will be able to hurt and kill more victims, and that's why the law is passed. Because the politicians want innocent people to suffer. So, they're not stupid; They're evil.

I would expect no less from a state as liberal as Mass is. They believe in legislation over parental and personal responsibility. I should suggest an amendment that every knife sold also has no point and is rounded so it cannot puncture, if they are going to propose stupid legislation they might as well go all they way with it...........

I wonder how long it'll take them to realize anything useful can just as easily be misused?
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

Nope. Just controlling. They don't care about the criminals, I suspect. What they want is to control citizens. Armed citizens are a threat. People who think that they can use weapons of any kind are a threat. It is really a mind control tactic to turn people docile. If you remove all the weapons, there is no other choice. Just like the UK.
