The ladies are doing very well and the Governor is not.

Governor Perry is looking more and more like a good ol boy and less and less like a professional political leader. Medina is holding her own and actually eclipsing the two other candidates IMO.

Good debate.

I don't think the Governor did very well. He was condescending and arrogant several times. KBH did really well, but Mrs. Medina was outstanding! This is going to be an interesting election.

Agreed, Perry was very arrogant. He worked real hard to disown the other two from being Texans. I think that hurt him. Hutchison is a good politician, you have to give her credit for that. Medina held her own, thought her answers through and stood her ground.

I was very impressed the way Medina handled herself. Good answers.
I was a little disappointed in the way Perry responded. Yes a little arrogant, but not overwhelmingly so.
I was not impressed with Hutchison. I think she makes a better Senator than she'd make as a Governor.

It really turned into an old timey mud slinging match between Hutchison and Perry. It was interesting to see how they handled it. I expected the incumbent to be on the defensive when the mud slinging started, and handled it fairly well....not great but fairly well.

I hope there is another round of debates before the primaries.

I think there's another debate 29 Jan at 7 on channel 8 (ABC) but I don't think Medina will be there. Not sure why and may email WFAA to ask. I intend to tune in.

Edit:
Just checked. It's scheduled for Jan 29 at 7pm. Not this Saturday as I stated earlier.

They probably won't admit the real reason is to maintain the status quo.
