Tooooooo funny.........

Post by flintknapper »

From another forum where the discussion was about "stickers" on your vehicle and the reaction it gets from some folks:
People used to give me tons of bad looks because of the sticker I had on the window of my Corvette. People used to say, “Why do like guns so much, they kill people”.

I had no idea what they were talking about. The sticker on my Vette was for the NHRA (National Hotrod Assoc.) People are just misinformed and have formed opinions that you will never change.

For those of you who have ever read Robert Heinlein, I have put a sticker with this phrase on every car I have owned:

"An armed society is a polite society."

Got me out of a speeding ticket in Florida!

You can never be too careful regarding what you put on your car. I used to have one of those Darwin Fish emblems on my car right after I graduated college. I had to take it off b/c people would key my car and leave me notes telling me that I needed to rethink my positions on God and Christ. While driving down I-610 I had an old lady show me a cross in one hand and give me the finger with the other hand. I always found it odd. Darwin was a Christian, Anglican to be exact.

2 or 3 cars ago, I had an NRA sticker on one side of the back window, and an ACLU sticker on the other side.

I got all sorts of grief from lefties AND righties, it was awesome until my mother (anti gun nut) and my wife (anti ACLU) argued over the car.

They both claim tp be on the same side. Sometimes they actually are.

I have a NRA sticker in the back of my Xterra ever since I bought it new in September 2000, but nobody has ever given me any grief. Then again, I'm 6'6" tall and 260 lbs, so people don't usually confront me on stuff like that.

I am 5’9’’, 145 lbs. I have a NRA, TSRA and VFW life member decals on my car as well as Purple Heart license plates. I have never had any disrespect shown towards me. LEO’s are particularly congenial to me.

It is the VFW and Purple Heart that make them keep their mouths shut, I'm sure. Many of them that complain about it are the same ones that would never stand up to fight for their rights, much less the rights of others. I know that is a cynical viewpoint, but just my opinion, misguided as it may be. I don't put any stickers on mine for fear someone will key it.
