Obamamanicas Plan to Censor the net?

#1

Post by RugerP345 »

I havent posted here in a long time my computer access is still limited due to Ike.

I ran accros this link while reading voteronpaul.com

http://www.theobamaforum.com/showthread ... 808&page=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The forum mentioned above reeks of commies.

One of the websites they want to "Censor" is AR15 dot com among a whole host of others.

Comments?? Thoughts?? I'm speachless...

While I certainly do not agree with censoring the net, this should be a good lesson about what you post. I have seen many posts that are offensive to the general public or can certainly be taken out of context. I'm not saying that you should not be free to speak your mind, I am just saying that we all should be very careful about what we post. This is a public forum and the public will review what we write when they are looking for negative comments that support their claims. With the second amendment under attack, think of how many people find this site looking for reasons to support their anti-gun position. If comments posted on this board appear to be racist or portray the members as gun wielding nuts looking for a reason to shoot someone, in the eyes of the public that is what we all become. Post responsibly and solidify the public opinion of what we are, responsible citizens exercising our rights. :patriot:

I am very surprised by some of the comments on AR15.com. For people that value the second amendment right, they are doing a poor job of supporting their cause. The hate speech I have seen used on that board only supports the image of the evil black weapon and those who choose to own them.

Yes, however I think it brings up a valid point to which I responded. There is a lot of truth in comedy that is not all that far fetched with the political debates at hand. :tiphat:

Unless , of course, we are posting what Komrade Obama and the Komittee members deem appropriate. Freedom loving individuals really should keep their opinions to themselves. We wouldn't want to call attention to our seditious behavior lest the brown shirts and blue helmets come marching down the street.

Why are we promoting cowardice in front of the enemy?

I've been to that forum before. That's the most racist website I've ever seen. I'll bet that even Obama wouldn't approve of what gets posted there.

Nice twist to what I said. I'm not promoting cowardice in front of the enemy! For the record, I don't think Obama is worth the dirt on the floor in front of the voting machine from which I cast my vote for McCain. I was simply taking the opportunity to point out that what you post can be as much your enemy as the enemy itself. The halfwits that post inflammatory remarks regarding race or their Rambo remarks concerning their right to carry just add fuel to the fire attacking our rights. I'm not singling out AR15.com. My post was a general comment on how damaging the content of some of these posts can be to our cause. I have seen many macho posts regarding shooting someone because the law allows it and not really because is was the right defensive thing to do. Do you really think the whole Joe Horn incident and some of the comments made on these boards have helped the pro-gun cause? If you value your rights, act and post responsibly to ensure we can continue to have those rights.

Last time I checked, this was a pro-gun board. We should do all that we can to protect our rights which includes challenging these remarks and promoting a positive image. If you are not willing to challenge those who threaten your ability to maintain your right to carry, you my friend are the coward.

I'm not saying that you should keep your opinion to yourself or that the boards should sensor comments. My point is that your should be very aware that your opinions in a public forum can hurt your cause. So if you value your right...promote it!

As much as I want to believe that all of that is a farce, I'm still twice as thankful for my CHL now. :fire

Some of the stuff on the rest of that forum makes me cringe.

I do promote the cause and I do not care whether I annoy or anger an anti or obamamaniac with what I say. They do not care what they say or do. Being Mr. Nice Guy gets you nowhere in the fight to keep your RKBA.

Guys.. don't be sucked in. Believe it or not, the Obama Forum site is pure satire. It's made by people who are against Obama, and are trying to make satire of how the "typical" Obama supporter thinks (from their point of view). Take a look around the site, and it will become obvious that these people do not actually support what they are saying. They are just using childish tactics to make Obama look bad, and I think once they are exposed for real it's gonna make a lot of us that are more conservative look bad.
