In May, 2020, the Texas Adjutant General, MG Tracy R. Norris, continued the existing policy that provides for the carrying of handguns, openly or concealed, on Texas Military Forces property.

TMD Directive 5210.01, May 07, 2020, applies to "... all TMD employees, civilian visitors, contractors, and service members of all other military service components while on any TMD installations or facility."
