I know the law was specifically written to allow those affected by natural disasters, but wouldn't the Texas Emergency Carry Law, be in effect, now that we are in a State, and National declared state of emergency? HB 1177 Says that those fleeing or re-entering the area, of an area declared in a state of emergency can carry a handgun without a license. There is a time limit of 168 hours, but, I was just curious , if this would basically allow Constitutional carry, during this emergency, since we can neither flee, or re-enter?
I haven't seen this brought up anywhere on the forum yet,(I'll admit, my time on here has been limited as of late) If so please delete, and direct me to the thread.
