Gun crime in gun free Boston

A new police commissioner is sworn-in in gun free Boston. He wants more police walking the "beat".
More illegal gun buy backs and "the uniformed officer will play a central role in his strategy for fighting violence in Boston, where the rate of major crimes has steadily dropped, but where shootings remain high and guns prevalent in some neighborhoods"
What guns are illegal in Boston.

http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2018/0 ... 3Afacebook Yarmouth is in MA, close enough for me to Boston.
Career criminal with a gun murders a police officer who was serving a warrant. The officer was with the K-9 unit, would he have had his dog with him? Would this have hindered him from drawing his gun?

Well, there is his first fail... the "illegal" guns dot get sold back to police by law abiding citizens... if he paid would be sellers in crack, he'd get more "illegal" guns.
More illegal gun buy backs...

Boston - How soon will it become a 3rd world country like california?
...though maybe seasonally only as their winters are akin to the North Pole.

It always amazed me that Massachusetts kicked off the American Revolution... these days they are so whipped that Massachusetts prosecuted a poor woman who had only a stun gun to defend herself with:
My guess is that after Shay's Rebellion the oligarchs in Boston no longer wanted average people to have guns. Too dangerous to their designs.
Today the elites in Taxachussett's get to tax and spend most of the money and if some average everyday defenseless people die it's not really the elite's problem.![mad5 :mad5](./images/smilies/mad5.gif)
Caetano v. MassachusettsJaime Caetano was reported to have been hospitalized and "in fear for [her] life" after an altercation with her "abusive" boyfriend.[2] After obtaining several restraining orders that "proved futile", Caetano accepted a stun gun from a friend for self-defense.[3] One night, when her ex-boyfriend confronted her outside her work and threatened her, she displayed the stun gun and successfully avoided an altercation.[3] However, when police discovered that she was in possession of the stun gun, she was arrested, tried, and convicted under a Massachusetts law that outlawed the possession of stun guns.[4] The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court had said her stun gun was "not the type of weapon that is eligible for Second Amendment protection” because it was “not in common use at the time of [the Second Amendment’s] enactment.”[5] Caetano then appealed the Massachusetts court's ruling to the Supreme Court of the United State.

JUSTICE ALITO, with whom JUSTICE THOMAS joinsA State’s most basic responsibility is to keep its people
safe. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts was either
unable or unwilling to do what was necessary to protect
Jaime Caetano, so she was forced to protect herself. To
make matters worse, the Commonwealth chose to deploy
its prosecutorial resources to prosecute and convict her of
a criminal offense for arming herself with a nonlethal
weapon that may well have saved her life. The [MA] Supreme
Judicial Court then affirmed her conviction on the flimsi
est of grounds....
If the fundamental right of self-defense does not protect
Caetano, then the safety of all Americans is left to the
mercy of state authorities who may be more concerned
about disarming the people than about keeping them safe.

Massachusetts AG Busy Defending Her Unconstitutional “Enforcement Notice” on “Copycat” Assault Weapons
There is little proof that her unilateral “notice” is having an effect on gun violence in Massachusetts, especially in light of the fact that, according to the FBI, in 2014 (the latest year for which data is available) there were no murders committed using an “assault rifle” or, for that matter, a rifle of any kind, in her state.

I fled the state late 1988, never to look back. High taxes for everything and crime infested cities. Restrictive housing laws created hi priced slums, and laws enabling armed criminals to challenge citizens without danger.Paladin wrote:

The odd thing to me was at the time I never met anyone who would admit to voting for Teddy Kennedy, yet he won by landslides every time. People were ashamed of having him as a Senator but will vote for him over and over again. I suspect the same for Senator Warren. This is the same state that will lock someone up for having a box of .22 ammo for 5 years. Yet treats heroin abusers as victims and provides Narcan or other state-sponsored opiates and sets them loose. on the streets.Everyone wonders why the streets are so dangerous. To understand the reckless disrespect for the law, all one has to do understand the situation is attempt to drive in the Hellhole called Boston

Boston cabbie refuses to drive a man 30 miles.
Potential fare shoots him pulls him out of the car and shoots him another 9 times.
Abandons the cab his gun and his shoes not far away and is arrested sitting out side a grocery store. He confesses.
Happened apparently in the middle of the day in front of a lot of witnesses near Prudential Center.
Native born citizen.
