APD told KVUE that the protests technically are not legal, but they will continue to allow it as long as the group keeps moving and does not go onto the highway.
Police acknowledge lawbreaking but allow it to continue. The disregard for rule of law has spread from the top echelons of the government all the way down to the local level. :banghead:
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Since Austin abhors discrimination, clearly they will apply the same standard to other minor legal transgressions like carrying a gun past a valid 30.06 sign, right? Don't tell me that they are planning to apply the laws unequally to different groups of citizens....

Oh yeah. The Good Lord was angry the day he made claymore mines and ASP batons.

"One riot, four troopers and a random guy with Scotchlite on his shirt."

Nah. Sounds wrong. Let's go back to the proven method.

This too shall pass - after Trump takes office in January, the press will pivot their attention to full on him, trying to keep up with all he's up to and coverage on this riot-tantrum crap will fall to the wayside. In the meantime, Obama, Hillary, Harry Reid and a number of other notable nasties own this - they have refused to call it down and have even thrown gas on the fire to increase the civil unrest. Everyone watch your six out there, and I'm serious. There are loopy people around who are being influenced by all this racket and think they need to act and do "something", and may believe that they have protected and free reign to do it. Thanks a fat lot to the corrupt media and politicians for a mess that could have been avoidable.

Me neither. It's like these "protesters" are trying to get shot.
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

I saw the one deploy his steel whip. Man that could have gone so wrong so quickly. He was VASTLY outnumbered and was being surrounded. I hate baying mobs!
He was in a guard stance to use it to push people back if need be. He never got into a striking position. This is why we carry ASP batons. OC spray would have worked well here but my have had some blowback being in liberal Austin.
Austin PD might be reserved because the City is a cesspool, but DPS doesn't care one whit about that.

Texas would need to be independent of progressives and liberals in order to be successful.
The day that Texas seceded, the leaches and liberals would be running for their lives to get out of here.

Unfortunately, running away involves effort and motivation. These are both foreign concepts to the specific subgroups you named.
It would be easy to get them motivated. You just put up lots of billboards that read, "NO MORE FREE STUFF!!!"

Hillary is in a better position than anybody to calm this mess down. But today she was addressing a crowd of her supporters and said, and I quote, "get back out there and keep fighting..." Incredible. This is inciting violence. She should be arrested.

They should be protesting the DNC for helping them get Trump in the first place, not randomly stopping up city centers.
As for APD, they're apparently too busy harrassing people for filming them and ticketing them for jaywalking. You know, real crime... :grumble
