As I said - RINO governor. Even went against the wishes of his party in signing this pro-abortion bill:

http://constitution.com/republican-gove ... hristians/

Effective Jan. 1, 2017, the law requires medical professionals in all capacities to go against deeply held religious conscience by referring patients for abortions and counseling patients on what the legislation calls the “benefits” of abortion.

The scariest thing in this article is the reference to a Firearms Owner ID card and a database of related info. Everything else follows from that.

I'm sure the murder rate will plummet now. So glad there is someone out there looking out for us dumb mere citizens.

You mean, you don't think this groundbreaking legislation will stop all of the gun crime in Chicago? I mean most of those gang members are probably under a protective order right? With this law it will put a complete stop to the major issues facing Chicago, and the rest of Illinois. (insert sarcasm emoji)

That governor should be run out of town. :mad5

So, you can loose a constitutionally protected, God-given right without due process or a conviction after 1/1/17... Excellent job, I am sure that the murder rate will plummet.

My brother is visiting me along with his son who, as a very intelligent 15 year old, is idealistic, naïve, and thoroughly brainwashed by his teachers. He couldn't understand why anyone would need to carry a gun until I asked him whether the police are responsible for his safety from criminals. He said yes. I then asked if he could sue the police / government if he was victimized since they had this responsibility. He saw my point that our safety is our responsibility. Like I said, he is very intelligent.

I am still trying to get him to understand that we also need weapons to fulfill our responsibility of overthrowing a tyrannical government should that need arise (as stated in the Declaration of Independence). He told me that the founding documents are outdated :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: . I still have much work to do.

Regurgitating sewerage from his indoctrinaters.

And to which "modern" documents would this young mind filled with mush with to submit himself to? Something more modern by Marx, Mao, Stalin or Hitler? Or even more modern by Alinsky?

You are preaching to the choir. I think his indoctrinators would rather go with the latest Hillary speech as the authoritative document. They need the freedom to change everything with a moments notice like in 1984 when the government re-writes history to reflect a new ally and enemy country. They readily espouse the ideas of Marx and his ilk. They just change the wording. Instead of "from each according to their means, to each according to their needs." They say the rich should "pay their fair share in taxes". Income redistribution either way, but you get to pretend you are not a communist if you go with the latter one, I guess.

I just spoke with an old friend on Sunday whom I hadn't seen in several years. He was a member of our church's worship team, as am I, and his work took him to Chicago about 5 or 6 years ago. He just got back 2 weeks ago and is done with Chicago. I made some small comment or other about politics and the murder rate in Chicago, and he said, "don't even get me started! I feel like I am finally HOME."

That place is a moral desert.

Illinois should secede from Chicago. Without Chicago, Illinois might be okay?

Kinda puts things into perspective when we in Texas complain that we're not getting enough of our rights BACK...
