HCSO: ARMED ROBBER SHOT 12 TIMES BY OFF-DUTY DEPUTY

Maybe the perps thought What-A-Burger's reported policy vis-à-vis open carry meant the restaurants were Gun Free Zones. Wrong answer.

My favorite quote from the article is from Deputy Thomas Gilliland with the Harris County Sheriff's Office: "It shows you crime can happen anywhere and does." That's the main reason I carry.

Crime can happen in the currently prohibited areas for LTC holders. I like Charles' plan to remove these.

:iagree:

How difficult is "journalism"? I mean, really, how hard is it to write headlines and stories that accurately reflect what occurred.
Should read: "HCSO: Armed Robber Shot AT 12 Times By Off-Duty Deputy"

Unless the robber actually was hit 12 times and has lived to tell about it.

The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

"After a brief struggle, the deputy fired his gun at least ten to twelve times, said detectives on scene.

The robber shot collapsed at the restaurant. He was eventually taken to the hospital condition, but we're told he's stable. The second robber got away. Investigators did find their guns on scene.

Guess someone might have to attend a refresher course... :waiting:

Chief, why did your officer shoot that guy 12 times?

I recon that was all the ammo they had...

:lol::

I just noticed bad English in the article.

"...He was eventually taken to the hospital condition..."

Condition what?
