Do we have any reliable information or confirmation of how many people there were carrying long guns or wearing their handguns openly?

I did hear the one guy being mentioned over the scanner. However, like has been reported, he was located and determined not a threat. Hardly justification for new legislation.

A disconnect from reality does not stop (or even slow down) a democrat from pushing their agenda.

Personally, I don't attend protests. Why would I want to associate my cause with the annoyance (at best) that they bring to a community?

Never let a crisis go to waste. There is no limit to how low a liberal will stoop to push their agenda. Dancing on the graves of these fine officers, besmirching veterans, blaming black folks who are peacefully exercising their rights, blaming an inanimate object... there is no low that is too low for a democrat.

Well, the Mayor said it impeded the investigation. I don't think so and I think this video proves it. Here is the "suspect"/"person of interest" turning his rifle in to a police officer & not even at gun point WHILE the shooting is going on. I think this highlights that a law abiding citizen will not present a threat and the officers SHOULD HOPEFULLY recognize that. Some were detained, like Mark Hughes (turned himself in), the subject of the video, and released.

That part worked. The part that didn't work was the police trying to get him to admit he was the shooter with their interrogation techniques, aka "lying" saying they had him on video shooting at police.

That is almost as idiotic as saying that the presence of a lot of white people impedes an investigation where the suspect is described as white, so let's ban white people. Same could be said for blue shirts, black cars, or anything else that is perfectly legal.

Can anyone put on their liberal Illogic cap and tell me how the banning of openly carried rifles will prevent a criminal from shooting people with a rifle? Do these people not understand that companies sell carrying cases for rifles? I personally can't remember the last time I openly carried an uncased rifle anywhere other than my property or the firing line of a range, but I oppose any laws that serve no legitimate purpose.
