As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Sanity and Reason infecting CA?

The political forum might not be the correct location for this, but I thought it might because the people that made it happen are elected.

KINGSBURG, Calif. (KFSN) -- Kingsburg High School District Board has made history becoming the second district in California to allow certain staff members to bring a gun on campus.
I guess I missed which one was the first. However, since they are the second that means the infection is spreading. What's next? A conservative Governor or senate?

A mere bump in the road for the Democratic steam roller. Next session the leg will probably pass a bill absolutely banning firearms from any school.

I am confident California will not come to any form of sanity until it crashes hard, completely crushed under the costs of their many taxes, welfare programs, sanctuary programs, government pension payments, rules and attitudes that drive out small and medium business and the middle class in general.

Then of course they will want Uncle Sam to bail them out. Which it should not. If the rest of the country does anything "for" California, it would be to pass an amendment that would allow removal of California's statehood status, put it back to a federal territory, have President Cruz appoint the territorial governor, and not allow them to apply for statehood until they have a state constitution that requires a realistic balanced budget, bans government unions, and requires strict observance of EVERY part of the Bill of Rights.

You would be surprised to know that much of California is relatively conservative, mostly normal, mostly in the eastern cow counties in the mountains, and the central valley. Until he retired a few years ago, Sheriff Jim Allen in Mariposa County issued CCW permits virtually on a 'shall issue' basis. Fill out the papers, meet the statutory requirements and pick up your permit. Several counties in that part of the state, rural, were similar.

Those citizens and others in other areas are routinely outvoted by those in the big metropolitan areas, LA, SF, San Diego to a lesser extent. The libs have more than 2/3rds of each house, and Moonbeam, and the influence of the two whackobird Senators should not be misunderestimated.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
