...the campaign to deregulate silencers is merely the latest attempt by the gun lobby and gun industry, in the wake of declining household gun ownership, to market yet another military-bred product with little concern for its effect on public safety,” reads the paper.

Arguing against cutting back the rules on acquiring a suppressor, the VPC contends they have been involved in fatal shootings that “graphically illustrate the threat to public safety that making them widely available to the general public would represent.”

However, of the eight instances of recent criminal use illustrated in the report, almost all are cases of criminals using otherwise illegal devices in the first place.

Violence Policy Center -- A Leftist organization whose sole purpose is to promote anti-gun policy in any way possible. There really isn't much else we need to know about them -- their agenda is diametrically opposed to arms ownership and use by citizens.

Silencers, or more properly, suppressors, are a public health issue, though -- using them prevents greater instances of hearing loss.

declining household gun ownership,
ha.
that's funny considering the rather frequent 'panic purchases' and increases in first time gun owners.

Yes if not mistaken, an almost 900,000 purchased on Black Friday alone.

I have to wonder if the VPC actually believes that household gun ownership is “declining”. Do they believe their own propaganda?

It seems to me that if they realized how badly they are losing they would give up and try to find another way to destabilize the country for communism.

MY gun ownership has been steadily increasing.

I'm sure that if you compare the rate at which new households are becoming gun owners, to the rate of expansion of the universe, then it looks like gun ownership is declining.

Maybe that's what they meant.

Do you think the VPC, MDA and the Brady Campaign actually believe the propaganda they put out, or do you think they put it out knowing it is half truth and flat out lies?

So, you are saying that liberals lie and distort the truth to further their political agenda?

I guess it is a pretty stupid question but I would like to get just a small glimpse of what goes on inside the head of a gun grabber. I have pretty good insurance that would pay for therapy for me if necessary.

Blue skies, fluffy clouds, rainbows and unicorns (and air lots of air). If you can handle that....you won't need any therapy. ;-)

If they believe it, they are dumber than a box of rocks. Well.... maybe they do, believe it. :confused5 Kind of makes me feel sorry for them, for a split second.
