Nicely done Governor! And a well placed slap in the face to that useless appeaser occupying the White House!

Rest assured, he will be.

With all the issues going on here in Texas, I think it would be more appropriate for him to spend a little more time governing our state, hence the term Governor. It's a absolute waste of taxpayers money.

But hey, it gets him out of the state, so it's not all bad.

You are completely entitled to your own political viewpoint and your opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts. The Texas / Israel economic engine is huge and benefits both the state of Texas and the country of Israel. You can read about it here: http://texasisrael.org/about/

Thank you. But, facts don't belong to anyone. But, as to opinions, which individually owned, I've always felt that Israel was a parasite affecting the US diplomatic policy due to the overabundance of influence of the liberal Jewish lobby and that most of their influence was paid for with money that we gave them. And, if not for that influence, we probably wouldn't be in all these useless wars, but I digress.

You are correct about the amount of oil related bidness that might come from Israel and in the current environment, with oil prices so low and rigs stacking, this could be a boon to the Texas economy. However, the link you provided was of no use, it was just a organizational welcome page to an advocacy group and provided no 'facts'. If this should come up again, I suggest using this one.

It is good to know that at least a few remaining honorable leaders and politicians haven't abandoned our allies.

Still think he's a dipshift. (A remarkable confluence of opinion and fact.)
The link was to illustrate the mature economic development structure that exists. Governor Abbott was not in Israel on a boondoggle. Further, American Jews are no more a monolithic political voting block than any other group. There are many staunch politically conservative American Jews. Foreign aid to Israel is used to buy American military hardware for defense, not for political influence as you ascribe. Not sure where you are coming from, although I am willing to hazard a guess...
