Yet liberals wonder why we think our government is incompetent (if not in some cases corrupt).

Massive is used to describe scale for someone with no frame of reference. a .50 BMG is exactly 5.45 inches in overall length, with a diameter of .8 inches. "El Chapo had a gun which shoots ammo somewhat smaller than a Banana" doesn't generate clicks.
Also Helicopters are finicky things. A bird the size of a duck could take down a helicopter.

Andy, I'm not comparing it to AA, nor am I a weapons expert. But, it only takes one well aimed or lucky shot with a .50 or .51 cal. Helicopters fly low and slow, in addition to the ability to hover in place. With the number of critical exposed components on your average helicopter, in addition to those few components with interior armor, damage from a .50 to almost anyone of those is enough to cause a crash, or at the least a forced or precautionary landing. Also, the greater range on the .50 is a plus for the bad guys. Just a thought, why is this story originating from the U.K.? I haven't seen it in any American papers, or on the news.(admittedly I don't watch a lot of network news) I guess we wouldn't want to embarrass our fearless leader when he's doing everything he can to keep guns away from criminals Huh?

I wonder if Sean Penn got to shoot it?

Here's a completely true possible headline:AndyC wrote:I understand that - I'm simply objecting to the drama in the title of the article.G26ster wrote:Andy, I'm not comparing it to AA, nor am I a weapons expert. When has a government agency ever been held to account for its failures or wrongdoings? Never! NEVER EVER!
