Then the person would have to sue in court to get his/her guns back. In Cali that would be an up hill battle all the way. Plus they would have to go another NICS check.

In Texas, one can be picked up and committed on a Mental Health Warrant without notice or representation. I guess the biggie is reporting it to NICS, which I think Texas does, but also now gun siezure.
