FEDERAL MACHINE-GUN BAN UNDER LEGAL CHALLENGE
This is an interesting case. Is the NRA involved in any way?

US v Watson
The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

They are saying the same as this does.

There are quite a few gun owners that would presumably never want that overturned. I'm certain a pre-86 Colt will still fetch a good price but not >$20K. The nickles worth of metal in a lighting link will have no value relatively quickly.

Doesn't their argument though seem to be in conflict with the recent SCOTUS decision to uphold bans on assault weapons? (it's early, and am hoping that I'm remembering that post correctly as I didn't find it in a quick search)

I think they refused to hear the Chicago case which may be the same thing. I'm not aware of any others.

Yeah, think that's the one. I admit to not having read it other than a brief glance. Perhaps the reason for not hearing that one is different than this situation.rbwhatever1 wrote:I think they refused to hear the Chicago case which may be the same thing. I'm not aware of any others.
