Yep. Whether an attacker is unarmed or not, I do not consent, and will not be forced into participating in a fist fight. I'm not interested in proving how much of a man I am, and fist fights can turn deadly pretty quickly. I've heard of people dying from getting punched in the throat, temple, nose, or falling and hitting their head on a curb. If someone tries to engage me in a fight (which I wouldn't have started, and would have attempted to de-escalate), they're going to be meeting my little friend.
I whole-heartedly admit that I do not possess any MMA skills. Indeed, I don't go around starting problems with others, either. Like you, I will defend myself from unprovoked and unwarranted violent aggression. Fist fights are for drunks and kids.

I'm not really sure what the poll question is asking.

I get a lot of entertainment out ofreading the articles on the valley newspaper/TV news websites, and mocking the illiteracy of the "journalist". Especially on valleycentral.com. You're lucky to find 1 out of every 10 English words spelled correctly. Context eludes them, too, so often even if the word is spelled correctly, it'll be used incorrectly. You can bet they do a fine job on the Spanish, though. It's obvious they couldn't care less about learning English here in the valley. The TV news man-on-the-street interviews are almost exclusively in Spanish.

One article on valleycentral.com was so badly written, and I harassed them so badly about it...they finally just gave up and deleted the article. Ahaha...good times.

I don't think most Texans or most Americans realize there are parts of the country like we have down here.

:iagree: Besides, fist fights hurt and I don't do pain well, unless it is self inflicted and then I think I just finally got use to it.
