Don't ask, don't tell

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Some people go all out to show just how much of an idiot they are. Many of the OCT folks and people involved in this "movement" fall into this category. I hope it works out as well for them as it did this idiot.

One of the things that we can all best take pride in is our arrest rates as CHL holders vs. the general public. I love having that in my conversations about 2A issues. This sort of thing belittles those numbers a bit. So Ill advised.

txhighlander,

You're not alone.

Coming to this forum is as close to "social media" as I get.

Well, they're wrong. Not having a Facebook account puts you well AHEAD of the times and the crowd. And anyway, why support one of America's most treasonous oligarchs?

This is ignorant in the extreme. What they are doing is providing irrefutable proof that people who are licensed do not obey the law. So now, when we provide the figures that Charles has worked so hard to compile, the anti-gun crowd can simply say, sure, but that's because you haven't been caught. What's the counter argument to that?

Please, all you "rights" people, please, please, STOP HELPING US!!!

I meant Facebook and Twitter, places where you bare yourself to all.

I don't do that on either.

Don't get offended. My post was kind of a wink, wink, poke, poke reminder that the forum is social media and every post you make here is public information.

I won't post any links because I don't want to promote any of it.

As stated before, I don't want to promote it. It can only hurt our cause, both doing it and posting about. I just wanted to bring awareness to it and encourage others not to do it. Not sure what hairs there are to split about it.
I understand and my post wasn't directed toward you. You were careful in how you posted the information. I was talking about follow-up posts.

lets not make this what its not about, we all know what people mean when they refer to social media. Its an irrelevant argument that doesnt move the discussion forward

that being said, me carrying a weapon isnt for show, and im not trying to prove a point to anyone. I carry because im allowed to protect myself and dont intend to convey otherwise unless said situation is presented. In my first 5 years of carrying, im grateful to not have needed it. I dont understand walking around with a rifle, or going to starbucks with an AR-15, you get one life to live and you want to spend your not-guaranteed time going to have coffee with a rifle or posting pictures on "social media"? Different strokes for different folks

There's a very wide variety of exhibitionists in the world.

Could be nudity or flashing guns.

They have a pathological need to be seen.

"Look at me - Look at me"

I'm special!!

(psssst, no you're not, you're just another fruitcake...)
