Too many commercials and not enough dialog.

It's unfortunate that they ran out of time when they did, and Woods got the last words.
Great job Charles!

Excellent job Mr. Cotton! Facts verses Immature Emotions. The facts always win.

Nice job, Charles. Woods comes off sounding like a complete coward.

Basically Charles used facts and statistics, including reading information straight off the police report, and John Woods used emotions for his argument.
Sadly, you don't convey Mr. Cotton's way with words well lol, of course he used facts and statistics. He just speaks them better than you or I.

Re: Cotton debating John Wood re: campus carry tonight
Maybe I'm totally ignorant, but honestly, I don't see what the beef is.....we get to carry a gun(s) to defend ourselelf(elves) and/or others as we see fit..., other than that, that's it.....We're not out being Charles Bronson in the movies, so what's the big deal? Nobody knows(if carried as per the law)...here's a cheesy analogy....and I'm kinda laughing as I write this...I don't know(or care) if the guy/gal beside me in Walmart is wearing clean socks or underwear..and if I don't know that, they don't need to know I have a pistol on my hip?

Re: Cotton debating John Wood re: campus carry tonight
well, most CHL's keep their guns clean enough that they don't smell. I'd be willing to bet the gal beside you with that funky smell hasn't changed something in a few days lolCainA wrote:Maybe I'm totally ignorant, but honestly, I don't see what the beef is.....we get to carry a gun(s) to defend ourselelf(elves) and/or others as we see fit..., other than that, that's it.....We're not out being Charles Bronson in the movies, so what's the big deal? Re: Cotton debating John Wood re: campus carry tonight
I didn't edit out any of the station IDs or commercials. I have no idea what KRLD will think of my posting this, and I'll pull it down as soon as we learn of a link to it on their Website...but I figured leaving in all data captured as-is at least will be a good-faith example of the intent of fair use.
But, Charles, you got, what, maybe five full minutes of air time during this 28-minute show?
And, geez, did Woods come off as wimpy to everyone else as he did to me? I'm almost feeling as if I should change my signature to: "There are no people better to evaluate the tactics and logistics of an active-shooter mass-murder event than those untrained, unskilled, unaware survivors who screamed, hid, and, under the extreme situational stress, could never have been highly reliable witnesses anyway."
The whole foundation of Woods's argument seemed to be, "We were there at Virginia Tech. We are the only ones who truly understand what's best."

Re: Cotton debating John Wood re: campus carry tonight
That's cheesier than what I just wrote....that dude is lucky to live and tell about it, and his g/f is 6-feet under as I understand it. Where is the rationale in that? Bang you're dead(stopped) if someone had a gun to defend themself or the classrooom full of folks?Skiprr wrote:

But, by his own logic, all his dead friends are irrelevant outliers. ("School shootings are extraordinarily rare.") I'm still trying to figure out how he feels so relevant in light of that.CainA wrote:That's cheesier than what I just wrote....that dude is lucky to live and tell about it, and his g/f is 6-feet under as I understand it.
