I see there's a requirement to provide ones job title, employer, etc. if one contributes $10 or more to a PAC. I presume that information is reported to the feds and probably ends up on a list somewhere. Based on how often the government releases PII without consent, I wouldn't be surprised if it's published on the internet.

How often may one contribute $9.99 to a PAC without triggering a reporting requirement?

It's worse than you think. Political contributions are public information. They are published by a number of organizations.

You can't dodge the system by making a series of small contributions. The PAC or candidate has to disclose cumulative contributions for an election cycle.

If you're trying to keep an employer from finding out, you might try having your spouse do the donation in his/her name only.
