Well VA plans to end reciprocity agreements with 25 states (but interestingly not Texas). Here's a somewhat hyperbolic headline over at Bearing Arms blog.

I just got my VA non-res CHP a few weeks ago, though since they still recognize Texas I don't really need it.

Also, you can open carry without a permit in VA. I do business in Northern Virginia regularly, but I spend so much time in DC, MD. and Federal buildings that I don't take my CCW with me.
