Bergeron's Restaurant in Port Allen Louisiana gives a 10% discount to CHL holders who are carrying.
I don't know how they confirm that, but they do appreciate those who carry.

Oh my! Perhaps the Bloomberg groups will rise up like the atheists did against restaurants who gave 10% discounts to those presenting church bulletins.

They have a great cajun meat market that was their first success. The restaurant is good but the sausage and smoked boudin is to die for. And, now I know it is safe.

I lived there 10 years ago. I go back about every other Good Friday for a crawfish boil with a Cajun family that adopted us. Bergeron's was one of my favorite places around. I've got a ton of their Boudin and Andouille in my deep freeze right now. The food was enough to make me go back every time I go through. But this just makes me proud to be a supporter of theirs.
If you guys manage to make it there, get one of their stuffed chickens to take home. They're easy to bake and taste amazing. If you're eating there, get a half pound of cracklins or their 415 plate. The plate is fried catfish topped with Crawfish stew. 415 refers to the highway the place sits on.
