My friend was arrested in 1975, shortly after one of MA's new anti-rights laws was enacted. He was at Concord for a re-enactment and was carrying an original flintlock passed down from the family through the generations, that may have actually been there. He was arrested for illegally carrying a firearm and it was confiscated. I don't think it was ever returned.
It was a flintlock.
