What non-resident license easiest to get NV?

I am in process of getting my Texas CHL, but I am currently allowed to carry in NV via reciprocity with my Ohio CHL.

When I become a non-resident of Ohio, my Ohio CHL will be revoked. Therefore, what is the easiest non-resident license for a Texan to get that will provide reciprocity to carry in Nevada?

Nevada accepts Alaska, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Any suggestions?

I suggest you research http://www.handgunlaw.us" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for those states. Many of the states do not issue non-resident licenses, some require you have a business, second residence, or are military and stationed there.

Just briefly brushing over the states that Nevada recognizes, I am gonna say you may not be able to get one unless you meet the requirements listed for having a business or residence there.

Looks like the best bet is to get a Nevada non-res. All the other states, with the possible exception of Rhode Island don't seem to issue to non-residents.

I looked into this before and came to the same conclusion. Only problem is that Nevada requires you to take a class in Nevada, so not something you can take care of before your visit.

That's second best. The best to is to stay out of Nevada.

Roger that! I seem to recall a ground swell sentiment for a general Texas CH licensee boycott of Nevada in general and Las Vegas in particular after the Costco shooting?

Why would anyone want to frequent anyplace where they and their CHL wasn't welcome?

Trade shows. Need to go for work. While in Vegas, I obviously prefer to be armed.

Sounds like my easiest approach would be to figure out some way to keep a mailing address in Ohio and keep my Ohio license.

Nevada is a big place.

Las Vegas is a very small piece of it and it's easy to avoid.

I like driving through Nevada, especially the state roads.

You can drive for hours and not see a soul.

You can pull of the side of the road a plink away and no one cares.

Granted... But OP wants to be able to conceal & carry in NV and specifically during trade shows in Las Vegas/Clark County. If he is no longer an OH resident and OH permit isn't valid, then there aren't very many options other than getting NV non-res. Unless he is moving to MO, which he is not.

I am Texas resident with CHL and also have CT, AZ, NH, & PA "non-res". Used to have FL and ME, but still none of those seem to get me Nevada. I will get NV some day since I also go there for trade shows.

If Utah passes its bill to issue Utah CFPs only to nonresidents who hold licenses from their home states, then both Nevada and New Mexico could well recognize the Utah CFP again.

I was responding more to the replies referring to staying away from NV altogether.
