No carry at New Orleans Insectarium

The Insectarium in New Orleans is housed in a Federal build so no carry is allowed. The rules are pretty much the same as for air travel. No guns, knives, scissors, etc. They have airport type screening so leave your guns and pointy stuff in your car.

I can't carry a BUG?

By the way, the "U.S. Custom House" in New Orleans, where the Audubon Insectarium is located, is not a "Federal facility". The Customs offices are not located there, and even if they were, the insectarium is not where where federal employees work (per the definitions in 18 USC 930).
