NYPD Reveals New Concealed Carry Rules

Looks like NYC still wants to make it as difficult as they possibly can:
The state will also now require ''four character references and a list of current and former social media accounts from the last three years,'' completion of a gun safety course, and affirmation of notice for rifle, shotgun and handgun permit holders.

I wish the 2nd Amendment and RTKBA had the same restrictions as being allowed to vote in NY, which is mostly None!

New concealed-carry rules are a big burden
Because of this new law, {Niagara} county pistol permit office has been overwhelmed with many questions from current permit holders and received an unprecedented number of new applications for processing. As of Thursday, over the past nine days the pistol permit office had accepted 700 new applications, compared to 1,429 applications in all of 2021.
every pistol permit issued before Sept. 1, 2022, will now have a requirement for 16 hours of safety course classroom instruction and two hours of live fire before that permit can be recertified. Plus, under the new law, recertification is now required every three years instead of the previous five-year requirement under the SAFE Act.

Exactly. The same standards should apply to both rights.

16 hours of Civics classes to vote would do wonders for our electorate.

I think Texas should take the lead here and implement voting requirements that mirror NYC's CHL requirements. Let's see if the courts will strike down one while upholding the other.
