Wifey and me plan on taking the kiddos to disney this summer or next, if we drive, the CHL and weapon will be along for the ride. Houston to Orlando is a long drive, lot of things could happen. The gun will definitely be secured either in car or room. Preferably in room as a minimum.
My only reservation about carrying in the actual park is does Florida have the same law as Tx regarding carry in an amusement park?
Orlando, Disney, and concealed carry

Chance favors the prepared. Making good people helpless doesn't make bad people harmless.

Sometimes I really wish a lawyer would chime in and clear things up. Do we have any lawyers on this forum?

TX doesn't actually have any special laws regarding amusement parks... There's a bit in there saying you can't CC in them, but then at the end of the section it says to ignore that part (which is something that a lot of instructors seem to be confused about).LSUTiger wrote:My only reservation about carrying in the actual park is does Florida have the same law as Tx regarding carry in an amusement park?
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

Not quite right. It says an amusment park MUST post a 30.06 to be off limits. They used to be off limits without the 30.06.Dave2 wrote:TX doesn't actually have any special laws regarding amusement parks... Right, that's what I meant. My wording seemed a lot less ambiguous in my head. Thanks for clarifying...Keith B wrote:Not quite right. It says an amusment park MUST post a 30.06 to be off limits.
