I'm taking a motorcycle trip from Texas through New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. I've looked at the reciprocity map and know the friendly states. Looking for insight on the law as to whether or not I Am allowed to travel through-and stop in-the non-reciprocal states with my piece in my luggage or on my person.
Any insight appreciated.

I hope this isn't too late to be useful, but you can open carry in NV, OR, & WA. When going through California you probably need to put it unloaded in a case and stow it somehow. I'm not sure how your motorcycle is set up, but I assume you have some sort of cargo capacity.

Sounds like OC is legal in NV an OR but are you sure it is tolerated throughout both states? Since I don't have a carry permit that is accepted by either state then OC may be my only option.

We made this trip towing our 'lil RV across NV, CA, up the Oregon coast and then up the Columbia river gorge and on into MT last year this time and in all those miles and quite a few CG's villages and towns, we saw NO OC by anyone. We did see a LOT OF PEOPLE.
