Whilst living in Texas I was fortunate to have a Texas CHL website available which was very valuable indeed... in is still in operation at http://www.texaschlforum.com/ It is owned by NRA Board of Director and attorney Charles Cotton... who BTW is a really great guy... not only is he a leader with the NRA but has been a major driving force in Texas getting a CHL at all.
When I got to Florida, I discovered there was no such forum for Florida... and Florida surely needs one... the law and rules on carry are much less clearly established and some of the laws not well written... so the need for such a forum is great.
There are a large number of people with Florida Concealed Weapon Licenses... Florida residents and a lot of non-residents as well.
Anyway, to make things as short as I can, I decided to start a Florida CWL Forum and have gotten it up and running... it does have a lot of work to do before it is ready to launch publicly... probably sometime next week.
I would appreciate it very much if anyone has time and an interest in CWL would take a look at the Florida CWL Forum and give my your thoughts, suggestions and criticisms as well.
Please keep in mind it is still under construction and suggestions are most welcome.
The forum is at: www.floridacwlforum.org
Thanks in advance.

Re: Florida CWL Forum
Congratulations for a great start! One suggestion I might offer would be to make sure any references to "CHL" in the topic headings are changed to "CWL". Looking forward to visiting your site again!

Re: Florida CWL Forum
Thanks to former NRA President Marion Hammer (now head of Unified Sportsmen of Florida), Florida is properly seen by many as the birthplace of concealed carry in the United States. Although not technically correct in terms of chronology, Marion's efforts in Florida in 1987 certainly sparked the nationwide CHL movement.
I applaud Chuck's efforts in setting up www.FloridaCWLforum.org. There are a lot of folks in Florida that would benefit greatly by having a resource like the members on TexasCHLforum.
Good job Chuck!
Chas.
