Re: Arizona Timeline
My Arizona license took seven weeks mailbox to mailbox. This was September 2017.
Oddly enough- the effective date on the license shows it was approved within two weeks of submission. But I guess it waited in line to be mailed for another five. Hopefully they'll mail yours sooner.

Best advice I was ever given- Don't mess with the dog while he's eatin'.

Well this is certainly most unexpected. I was expecting a long wait. Wow this was quick!

Easy. I always have a backup plan. If anything ever happens to my TX LTC the AZ CWP will allow me to continue carrying until I would be able to get a replacement LTC.surprise_i'm_armed wrote: ↑Tue Oct 09, 2018 8:30 pm Tell us why an Arizona CWP is desirable, please.

Re: Arizona Timeline
I did the Arizona cwp 3 years ago. 60 days exactly to my mailbox. I got it because it was only $60, they accepted a copy of my chl-100 for training, and it’s good to have a backup. At the time, it added a couple states for me. Real smooth process.

Re: Arizona Timeline
Same for me. Except now NV recognizes TX, so, no extra states. I keep it in my safe. Good to have a backup in case my TX license is ever misplaced or I run into a delay with renewal.LimaCharlie3 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 09, 2018 10:19 pm I did the Arizona cwp 3 years ago. 60 days exactly to my mailbox. Re: Arizona Timeline
Just renewed my AZ license. USPS shows my renewal application was delivered to them on 22-Feb and the mailing date on the envelope that contains my new license, received today, says 24-Feb. 2 days is pretty spectacular turnaround time.

Re: Arizona Timeline
Why did you guys choose the AZ license, instead of the UT license? I used to have a Utah CFP, but I let it expire and never renewed it.

Re: Arizona Timeline
The #1 factor for me was that AZ accepted my previous training. I did not have to take a UT class. Send form, training docs, prints and $$. Get license. The Annoyed Man wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 8:53 amWhy did you guys choose the AZ license, instead of the UT license? I used to have a Utah CFP, but I let it expire and never renewed it.
When I first applied for the AZ permit, UT would have added NV where AZ did not. Since then, NV has recognized TX, so, nothing lost.
Currently have a kid at UA in Tucson, so, small bonus to support AZ.
