AR15 Parts Shortage

#1

Post by Swissy »

Hey Guys,

I am working on putting together my first AR15. I am wanting to buy a URG with part of my Christmas bonus, but I have noticed that many websites are out of stock....is this because it is year end or the recent turmoil in our country? When can I expect stock to be back?

I am going to see if there is anything decent at the gun show this weekend at George R. Brown....but I do not have my hopes up.

Where are you looking? I was pricing stuff about 2 weeks ago and the only place regularly out of stock was palmetto.

All the good sales are this time of year.
I have bought 2 of the 3 items on my list this week for my AR upgrade and new build.
I love the sound smell of jet fuel in the morning.
Fat thumbs + IPhone = errors, please forgive.

Er... there's a war going on in two fronts (Iraq and Afghanistan). Throughout history, whenever there's a way going on, there will be a shortage of "strategic materials". I can't remember the last time I saw a 500 count bucket of .22lr at the store. .223 ammo is no longer cheap.

I bought a Spikes lower directly from their website little over a week ago and they shipped in 3 days. it was actually a little more than from their distributors though...
