Having never heard of yhis manufacturer before, does anyone have opinions regarding the quality of this manufacturer's products?ske1eter wrote:http://troydefense.com/portfolio/troy-bravo-rifles/
Their accessories are well-known and of good quality. I have a very expensive AR10 SASS rifle that has a Troy Battle Rail on it.n5wd wrote:Having never heard of yhis manufacturer before, does anyone have opinions regarding the quality of this manufacturer's products?ske1eter wrote:http://troydefense.com/portfolio/troy-bravo-rifles/
I was unaware of these two stories, but while the second one poses questions, the first was entirely out of Troy's hands. Dicks screwed them, plain and simple. It is NOT Troy's fault that Dicks took the actions they did, and in fact, one wonders if Dicks didn't default on a contract, and if so, then whether or not Troy has legal remedy in court. If it is true that they invested millions to gear up for a singed contract, then I would seek relief if I were them.Dadtodabone wrote:Troy Industries has a good reputation for their products. They were famously involved in the post-Sandy Hook Dick's Sporting Goods debacle a few years ago.

And some controversy over hiring an anti-gun former Chicago Chief-of-Police and a Ruby Ridge HRT sniper team member for their Troy Asymmetric training program.

My post wasn't meant as a criticism of Troy Industries, I was just providing information. The Annoyed Man wrote:I was unaware of these two stories, but while the second one poses questions, the first was entirely out of Troy's hands. There is, however, one comment in the Troy letter which doesn't make sense, and that is their statement about Dicks diluting the Troy brand by selling the rifles at steeply discounted prices. The truth is that Troy diluted their own brand by agreeing to enter into mass production for sales to a discount sporting goods store. Just what did they expect would happen?
